Philanthropy

I am grateful for the many blessings I enjoy, and I have always made it a point to try and give back—to show my appreciation for those blessings. To give of yourself, and make a difference in the lives of others, brings great joy and satisfaction. I often encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and volunteer or donate to valuable causes. Giving of yourself not only changes others’ lives, but it also changes yours for the better.

The world is full of both wonder and challenges. I’ve had the opportunity to see that for myself, first hand. The organizations I’ve been privileged to work with have opened my eyes to the struggles that many folks face on a daily basis. I’m humbled to be a small part in bringing their stories to the world through photographs and video production. I believe that this work has touched hearts and changed lives. So many wonderful organizations strive to fulfill missions that make an incredible difference in our world—one person at a time.

Please, read through the stories of these nonprofit organizations and consider adding them to your charitable giving.

AIDS Isn't Over...But It Could Be

GAIA's efforts have been focused on Malawi, a country with a very high prevalence of HIV and AIDS. With support from the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, GAIA joins UNAIDS' call for an end to the AIDS epidemic by 2030. They plan to do this by reaching the 90-90-90 treatment target by 2020: 90% of all living with HIV know their HIV status, 90% of those who know their HIV status will receive antiretroviral therapy (ART), and 90% of those receiving ART will achieve viral suppression. Jodie O'Shea House

Sandy Puc' Productions was thrilled to create this short documentary for Jodie O'Shea House in Bali, Indonesia. Alison Chester and her husband, Riyanto Samadi, opened Jodie O'Shea House in 2005 to improve the lives of children in and around Bali. They now have more than 90 children in their care. Named in loving memory after a victim of the 2002 bombings in Bali, Jodie O'Shea House is 100% funded by donations from friends and visitors. To learn more about the House and the many things they are doing for their community, visit www.careforkidsbali.com

Gotcha Day with CCAI

CCAI is America's number-one child adoption agency. Parents travel to China to meet the newest members of their family. Affectionately known as "Gotcha Day," this is the day when families are finally united with their children. This is how the bonding begins.

HIV/AIDS in Malawi, Africa

Sandy Puc' Productions is proud to work with many non-profit organizations. The Global Aids Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) works to reach the rural, hard-to-reach communities of Africa, where they provide much-needed healthcare services. To donate to GAIA's efforts, visit www.thegaia.org
